Welcome to the EASTWIND Tacis Project
Wind energy has not been really "a topic" in the Russian Federation so far - only recently, the change from fossile to renewable energy sources has become more relevant. But to initiate and realise windfarm projects, the political intention needs support by planning know-how on the regional and local level - and this is where this projects intends to contribute. Besides, a wide public of the RU Federation has to get familiar with the principles and advantages of wind energy use, an argumentation that goes closely together with ideas and measures how to deal with the effects of the ongoing climate change.
The public opinion and potentially involved parties shall be convinced that the use of wind energy / renewable energy sources in general is essential when it comes to meeting the coming climate changes. In addition, the economic and social advantages of wind energy use shall be worked out and the positive effects on the job market and on regional development will have become much clearer. Detailed steps towards a successful implementation of wind energy projects will be communicated and demonstrated, contacts for successful business co-operations will be made. This project based on the previous InterregIIIB project "Windenergy in the Baltic Sea Region" (WEBSR). More about this project: www.windenergy-in-the-bsr.net
